Coach Declan Bruder started coaching on the Rookie Field at Rising Star in the summer of 2023 after attending camp for 11 consecutive years. Bruder was a highly decorated camper winning numerous end of week awards through his camp career.  
Coach Bruder plays on the varsity baseball and basketball teams at Pleasantville High School. During the summer, he has played for the Taconic Rangers and Team Crush for travel baseball competition.
His father, Brian Bruder, is a girl's softball coach at Kennedy Catholic HS in Somers, NY.
